Wow guys, within the past half hour, I have been shitted on. I now feel like crap. I just can’t understand how people can misunderstand every word I say, I’m usually great with people, I have an indescribeable charm. But with a few people, they just seem to take me as an asshole.

I was talking with a group of people that I spend a few hours a day with every day, they are in two of my classes in the day, and I spend lunch with them. One of the girls, Megan was absent. I didn’t think much of it, people are absent all the time. Another girl in the group, named Jessica, mentioned that she wondered where Megan was. I mentioned that she was probably sick or sleeping, that it probably wasn’t a big deal. She said that she wanted to know what was going on. I understood that, but I was just amazed that she would, at the time I considered it prying into other people’s business. Of course, I know that she just wanted to know where her friend was, but none of my friends ever asked me where I was, so I never really thought it was a regular thing. I told that to her, and she called me a bastard and I don’t care about anyone. I didn’t know what just happened, I didn’t mean anything by what I said and if I said it in an insulting manner, I didn’t mean that either. I never mean what I say and I just couldn’t comprehend how someone could dislike me so much. Someone that I tend to find incredibly attractive and I tend to try to talk to as much as I can, I guess the best thing now is to talk with her as little as possible. In fact, I chose to write this instead of go to lunch today.

Kudos to filmgurl101 for writing my first comment, I hope more will discover this blog.

I went to the midnight showing last night and well, it was incredible. Completely intense and amazing. It was so crazy how it really felt like the audience was there, experiencing something as crazy as this. The opening part was rather boring, because the characters weren’t that great, but it hit fast. One of my big problems with the movie was the fact that the main character goes toward the monster to try to rescue a woman he likes, but it’s not a big problem considering he’s just an idiot. Overall, an extremely incredible movie, the ending wasn’t that great though, it felt like once they got to central park they didn’t know where to go from there. But, still great. **** stars out of *****

Yesterday, I was pondering quietly to myself in English class. Thinking about why some guys wear funky sneakers with jeans. Dancing around the thought of what would happen if I was able to pick up the pencil I just dropped with my thoughts, because I didn’t want to reach for it. I slowly reached out for it, because I discovered I actually could not pick it up with my thoughts. When I reached out for it, I don’t know how it happened exactly, but the point of the pencil stapped my palm slightly. It wasn’t a big deal, but it reminded me of a little incident that happened while I was in the first grade.

I was probably 6, but maybe 7. If I was six, then I would have been in the second half of my sixth year, which meant that due to all the t.v. shows and books that had all the little kids saying “I am (insert age) and a half,” I would have been going around telling everyone that I was 6 and a half, but that turned to 6 and three quarters and so on. But anyways, I was sitting in class one day playing with my big pink eraser. I loved the texture of these erasers, they were big and fun to drop or rub. Another kid at my table (it was really four desks put together, not a real table), most likely Nicolas (an associate of mine, I wouldn’t really call him a friend, because I didn’t really have any true friends in elementary school), wanted to play with my eraser. I handed it to him and he told me he was to stab my eraser with all his might to see how deep he could get into the eraser. For a few seconds (I would say a while, because that’s what it felt like, time was so much slower in those days, but it was most likely just a few seconds), I thought it would be cool, but then I realized that this was my eraser, I didn’t want a big black hole in it for the rest of it’s days. So I reached for it, when my arm arrived at the eraser, so did his pencil, and along with that, a big deep bloody hole in my hand. It hurt pretty bad, so I probably cried, and it didn’t heal for a while. My dad thought it was infected, because the wound was black. That got me worried because my arm might fall off. But it turned out to be just pencil lead that I didn’t wash off.

I don’t know why I was reminded of that, but I was.

24 Season One

Jack Bauer is introduced in this first season of a pretty great show. It’s a pretty great first season, it’s cool how it just starts off without any obvious backstory, it rolls into the first hour as if there really had been thousands of hours beforehand. There is less action in this season than in future seasons, it’s mostly build-up. But the build-up build-ups up to some awesome stuff. The only big problems are Kim Bauer’s storyline, the amnesia storyline, and Dennis Hopper doing an italian accent when he’s supposed to be doing a Serbian accent. **** stars out of *****

Day 2

January 11, 2008

Hello again, today I feel better than I did yesterday. Mostly because I got to ride my bike to school today. It’s a brisk 2.5 mile ride and it feels incredible, yesterday my bicycle was acting funky and I didn’t get to ride it. I probably could have, but I didn’t. I did not feel as great driving my truck to school, because it feels like nothing.

I’m getting pretty frustrated that I haven’t been able to read as much lately as I had been this previous semester. I’m still at the beginning of The Trial, and I haven’t gotten any further. It’s so far such a great book and I want to read more, but I haven’t been able to due to this stupid musical I’m doing.

It’s taking up so much of my life, and my money. I had to quit my job at Oxford Street (a local steak restaurant) to do this musical, and I only have a little over sixty dollars left and it’s running out fast. I’ve been eating out every night and I still have about a month to go, I highly doubt this money will last more than a week.

Prior to this semester I had been going back through 24, starting with season two. One reason for that would be that a friend of mine borrowed well over a year ago and gave it back merely a month ago. So when I started going back through I didn’t have season one. But another reason would be that I’d seen the first season more than the others, and from memory I didn’t really enjoy season one as much as the others going back through. Not saying it isn’t a fantastic season, I’m just saying that it has more build-up than the other seasons, and when you already know what it is building up to, it can be rather boring. Season two and on are much more action oriented. In fact, in seasons two, four, and five there is action in almost every episode. Anyways, over the break I got season six and watched that. I finished that and decided to go back through Stargate SG-1. Due to such a busy schedule I haven’t been able to go through it as fast as I’ve wanted.

I absolutely love this movie. It’s a documentary of a phony rock band, and it is absolutely non-stop hilarious. There are so many memorable moments from the film I can’t even mention any. I highly recommend this movie to anyone who likes a laugh. This is Christopher Guest’s first mockumentary and arguably his best, but I wouldn’t go so far as to say that. Anyways, check it out. **** stars out of *****.41x5bfsdscl_bo2204203200_pisitb-dp-500-arrowtopright45-64_ou01_aa240_sh20_.jpg

Hey guys!!

January 10, 2008

My name is WP Skilly and I am a senior in high school. My blog will include the day-to-day life of a boring high school student, random reviews (I will include a review of something in every blog), and rumors on different television shows.

Day 1:

My life is at a point where I am ridiculously bored and at the same time frustratingly busy. At school I have almost no classes whatsoever. I have three 50-minute media technology periods in which I do absolutely nothing save for watching movies and eating. I am in it because I hope to be a filmmaker someday and well, the class has equipment that I don’t have.
Along with that class, I have a choir period, where I sing. And an English class, the only real class of the day.
When I leave school, that is where I leave my boredom and enter my busy-time. Every year save for every third year, my choir does a musical. This year we are doing The Music Man and I am playing Harold Hill, the lead character. Practices are Monday-Saturday, usually 4-9, except Saturday-which is 9 am-pm. It’s crazy.

Anyways, I was just mentioning that because that’s really what’s on my mind right now.

Review of the Day: STARGATE: The Movie

This movie started the television series Stargate SG-1, but the producers of the movie have absolutely nothing to do with the show. Really and truly, the movie is a borefest. There is almost an hour and a half of nothing but people staring at each other and shots of the desert that are supposed to look epic and great but doesn’t at all. The characters don’t work well together and Kurt Russell doesn’t seem to know what he is doing. The movie is really and truly a piece of crap compared to the fantastic show that came out of it. It’s just truly sad that I have to watch the movie to go forward with the show. ** stars out of *****

Thanks, I’ll be back soon.
